We may never rid the world of the deadly plague of sugar addiction that is causing so many horrendous diseases, but we can take steps to eliminate it and the risks it entails from our own personal lives. Overcome sugar addiction and be far more healthy.
Different types of foods and different types of calories, either fat, protein, or carbohydrate calories, and even different types of carbohydrate calories, have vastly different metabolic effects. Calories from refined sugar are by far the most harmful.
The fatty cheeseburgers that we’ve all been warned about since the 1970s aren’t bad for the heart if you take away the bun. Saturated fat does not cause heart disease. Sugar is the dietary culprit that’s really to blame for causing all manner of diseases.
When sugar is consumed in quantities exceeding 100 pounds per person per year, this amount is undoubtedly poison. Ideally, refined sugar consumption should be reduced to zero and consumption of natural sugars should be kept to a minimum. It is killing us.
