The US government covered up the deliberate and malicious nature of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty. This is exactly what we can expect in the future whenever Israel commits a crime against the US or one of its citizens. Expect a government coverup.

All of the surviving crew of the USS Liberty tell the same story: Their ship was attacked by air and naval forces of the state of Israel and the Israelis knew before the attack began that it was an American ship, even though Israel denies it. Israel lies.

The USS Liberty was surveilled all morning by Israeli planes so the Israelis knew it was an American ship, yet they lied, calling it a tragic error and a case of mistaken identity. American military and civilian authorities were complicit in the coverup.
